About me

• I think of myself as stylish in writing and consequent in thinking (and my family say I tend to be absent-minded in many other things);

• Nevertheless, in my work I am always punctual and on-time.

Education

1982-1986: High School in Vác, Hungary;

1987-1993: JATE University, Szeged, Hungary (today: Szeged University): MA plus teacher’s degree in English, American and Hungarian languages and literature;

1991-1995: JATE University, Szeged, Hungary: MA degree in comparative literature.

Experience

1993-1996: Juhász Gyula Teacher’s Training College (today: part of the above university), English Dept. (taught English and American literary history, English language, translation theory and literary translation);

1996-2007: Cobra Computer Kft., Hungary, software consultant;

2003-present day: Cage Bt. (own small enterprise): freelance translator;

2007-present day: Mafilm Audio Kft. (leading Hungarian dubbing and voiceover company, I have translated numerous films for them, most of which were scientific/documentary films by Discovery Channel).

Interests

• Wide and deep computer knowledge: programming (experience in Delphi and VB.NET), database handling, CRM systems, web technologies etc.;

• Driver’s license;

• Cycling, swimming, archery, and most of all: my kids.
